For refined performance the Firestone Firehawk GT is hard to beat. Veri-Pitch technology adjusts the block sizes in the tread design to create noise cancelling harmonics that help keep the agressive tread design necessary for all season performance tamed for a quiet smooth ride. With its asymmetical tread design for all season performance and its wide footprint for stability in any weather, the Firehawk GT also includes a 50,000 mile warranty for outstanding value.

FIRESTONE FIREHAWK GT TIRES SEEM SUBJECT TO FREQUENT FLATS, what Firestone calls "road hazard" punctures.
ReplyDeleteIn 2007 and again in 2009, I purchased four (4) Firehawk GTs, the most recent because I had several flats with the 2007 set.
Since buying the 2009 set in February, I have had two flats, the latest this date. This one posed a real problem because the flat was discovered far from a Firestone shop or garage/gas station. (I was told by a Firestone rep. that here is no corporate policy for reimbursement for customer-paid towing charges.)
Also, the Firestone guy estimated 1-1/2 to 2 hours to repair the tire, IF I could get the car there immediately! This surely does NOT qualify as "customer service." Owning just one car, I do not have time to wait that amount of time for a 10-minute repair job.
Given the poor quality of tires and the bad service, it is well past time that I sought another tire merchant.
